Actual pay will be based on various factors, such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, proficiency for the role, and internal equity. Kwik Trip’s Bread and Bun Plant is looking for individuals for a variety of seasonal positions. 

 

Our state-of-the-art Bread and Bun Plant located in La Crosse produces over 20 varieties of bread and bun products for approximately 800+ retail stores. Kwik Trip customers are able to enjoy our multiple bread and bun varieties.

 

Join our Bakery production crew where you will be trained in production or sanitation:

Production/Finishing: operate the various pieces of bakery equipment used to make our products from start to finish (packaging), operate sanitation equipment in order to keep our fast-paced, high volume plant up to our standards (occasional work with chemicals)
Sanitation: complete cleaning and sanitizing of industrial bakery equipment 
 

Work Schedule:  40 hours per week.  These positions will be available from May through August.

 

Starting Rate of Pay is $18.00 per hour. Weekend Premium Pay: additional $3.00 an hour between the hours of 7:30pm Friday and 5:00am Monday

 

Available schedules include:

  • Bun Make Up: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday working 8:00am to 4:00pm
  • Bun Pack: Monday through Saturday with rotating days off working 7:00am to 5:00pm
  • Material Handler/Order Puller (AM): Sunday through Saturday with rotating days on and off working 4:00am to 12:00pm
  • PM Sanitation: Monday through Saturday with rotating days off working 2:00pm to 12:00am (includes additional Overnight Premium Pay of $3.00 per hour for part of shift)

 

Qualifications:  Accurate/detail orientated; ability to work in a fast paced production environment; basic math aptitude; work well alone/as part of team; willing to learn/perform a variety of job tasks; work in a noisy environment frequently; work in a safety conscious environment; adhere to sanitation/hygiene standards.

 

Prior production and/or baking experience is a plus but not required.

 

Physical qualifications: stand/walk up to 10 hours per shift; bend/reach/twist constantly; lift/carry 50 pounds to 60 inches frequently; work in temperatures of 70-90+ degrees F; kneel/squat occasionally; push/pull up to 87 pounds of force occasionally; lift/carry 15 pounds to 72 inches occasionally.
