Pay Range: $65,231.14 to $97,846.58
Actual pay will be based on various factors, such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, proficiency for the role, and internal equity. In addition to base pay, Kwik Trip gives 40% of pre-tax profits back to our coworkers with bonuses ranging from 8-12% of each coworker’s gross annual wage depending on company profitability and offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, 401k, paid time off, and more.
As a Data Analyst at Kwik Trip, you will be responsible for analyzing, reporting, and managing data to support business decisions and operations. You will work closely with the IT Data Services team and various business units to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity. Your expertise in SQL and master data management (MDM) concepts will be crucial in developing and maintaining data solutions that meet the needs of our stakeholders.
In this role, you will focus on implementing and managing MDM solutions, including best record and matching processes, to ensure data consistency and quality. You will develop complex SQL queries and stored procedures to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources, and utilize and manage data reports and dashboards using tools such as Power BI, SSRS, and Sigma. Additionally, you will act as a subject matter expert on enterprise data, providing guidance and support to business units on data-related topics.
The main responsibilities of this position are:
- Support and manage Kwik Trip MDM tools (Informatica and SAS) as well as any future ones.
- Proficiently build MDM jobs and solutions that ingest, match/merge, and egress data to downstream systems.
- Support and manage Kwik Trip enterprise reporting platforms, such as SSRS, Sigma and Power BI.
- Develop and maintain complex SQL queries and stored procedures to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources.
- Implement and manage master data management (MDM) solutions, including best record and matching processes, to ensure data consistency and quality.
- Work with software vendors to triage issues, ensure optimal support and stay updated on future technologies and enhancements, gain visibility into enhancements, escalate support issues where necessary, manage various health checks.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of data documentation, including data dictionaries, data flow diagrams, and data integration specifications.
- Act as a subject matter expert on enterprise data, providing guidance and support to business units on data-related topics.
- Creation of ETL jobs in data tools like Microsoft SSIS, Informatica ETL and SAS DataFlux.
- Leverage reports and dashboards using tools such as Power BI, SSRS, and Sigma to provide actionable insights to business stakeholders
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer or data science or a closely related field of study or equivalent work experience.
- At least two years related work experience.
- Strong understanding an experience with SQL, database technology and enterprise software.
- Ability to use complex query statements and advanced database tools.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills for ETL jobs and SQL queries and procedures and ability to identify root causes of issues and provide solutions.
- Knowledge of Master Data and Data Quality concepts and the tools to support.
- Ability to analyze and develop data requirements and data specifications.
- Knowledge of version control tools and release management.
- Excellent problem solving, collaboration, critical thinking, team building and presentation skills.
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Experience with SSIS and Azure Data Factory a plus.
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, daytime hours.
