General Maintenance Technician - DeForest, WI

Location: Department 378 Deforest 
Pay Range: $22.51 to $33.77 
Shift: Variable

Actual pay will be based on various factors, such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, proficiency for the role, and internal equity. In addition to base pay, Kwik Trip gives 40% of pre-tax profits back to our coworkers with bonuses ranging from 8-12% of each coworker’s gross annual wage depending on company profitability and offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, 401k, paid time off, and more.

Kwik Trip Inc.’s Building Maintenance department is looking for a well-rounded Maintenance Technician at our campus in DeForest, WI.  You will be responsible for performing a wide variety of trades including mechanical and electrical repairs, installations, modifications, and adjustments to building and facility equipment.

Regular Tasks include but are not limited to:    

• Maintain buildings, grounds, and various assets
• Perform emergency maintenance as required
• Inspect corporate facilities and equipment on a regular basis

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of maintenance experience on a team
• Strong interpersonal written and oral communication skills
• Accurate and detail oriented
• Willing to learn and perform a variety of job tasks
• Prioritize, and manage multiple projects
• Meet department deadlines
• Possess good problem solver skills
• Ability to read, understand and interpret blueprints and manuals
• Knowledge of hand and power tools
• Work within safety and regulatory standards
• Ability to self motivate and carry out daily tasks with minimal supervision
• Heavy equipment operator and snow plowing experience a plus
• Small engine repair experience is desirable
• Possess a valid driver’s license

Physical requirements:  standing for up to 8 hours; lifting up to 100 pounds; bending, reaching and twisting frequently; work in a variety of weather temperatures/conditions.
